We are currently experiencing issues with the Music Player functionality in ESP CUSTOMS. Users may encounter errors when attempting to play YouTube content. Specifically, the error "Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot" is being triggered, preventing successful playback.
Additionally, some users may see the following error: "[NO_EXTRACTOR_PLUGIN]: There is no extractor plugin in the DisTubeOptions.plugins, please add one for searching songs"
- Affected Features:
Playback of YouTube content via the bot’s Music Player.
Search and queue functionalities for YouTube songs.
- Root Cause: The issue is related to recent changes in YouTube’s API and stricter bot detection mechanisms. This requires the use of cookies for authentication and additional plugins for proper song extraction.
- Current Status: Our development team is actively working to resolve the issue. We have implemented multiple fixes, including:
Adding authenticated cookies manually.
Updating plugin configurations for @distube/youtube.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists in production environments. We are reaching out to DisTube support for further assistance.
- Next Steps:
Collaborating with DisTube support to identify a permanent fix.
Testing alternative authentication mechanisms.
- Updates: We will provide updates as soon as more information is available or when the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience.
- Workaround: At this time, there is no known workaround. Other playback sources (e.g., Spotify) are unaffected and can be used as an alternative.
